You have landed in The Pond. We are Amanda & Nate Reynolds, a husband/wife team (the kind that actually enjoys working together :) Turtle Pond Photography is where we work. Well, if you can call having a blast, doing what you love and meeting great people WORK, then this is definitely work. We are so blessed to do what we love. Shooting weddings is so much fun and we are honored each time we are part of a bride and groom's special day. Actually, it's quite humbling to be asked to be there on the biggest day of their life. Amanda also loves to photograph kids. Shooting in their own environment it really brings out the best in them.

We've Moved!!!!

The time has come and we are moving on. Can you guess? Feel the tension? We are moving to a ........... new blog service :) Probably the most incredible news you've heard in the last 20 or 30 seconds!! Our new blog will be faster, stronger, smarter and much more beautiful than this old worn out format. Emilie...still growing

It's been so much fun capturing Emilie grow into a little toddler. Each session is so new and different, and her ability to explore and play gets bigger each time. I think she's going to be quite the social butterfly and she's a bundle full of energy, smiles and joy. Here's the little cutie...

Samantha and Tyler

Wow, I can't say enough wonderful things about this couple. Sometimes you meet a couple and it's instantly obvious that they fit together perfectly. This is Sam and Tyler. They've been together for eight years...and so it was only appropriate to photograph them where they met...btown (bloomington). We are ecstatic about capturing their big day next month in Hilton Head. You guys are amazing....

Mia is 6 months old!!

What a precious family! I can't believe how quickly Mia is growing up....what a cutie pie. She is quite possibly one of the most laid back babies i've ever met. If this first photo doesn't fit her perfectly, well.... It was so great to see you guys again. Let's definitely hang out again soon :) Much love!

The Marusiks...still growing

As we pulled into the airport, Lillie held on to my hand for dear life. She's only four, but she's knows her geography well....Indiana and TX are not close to one another. And dropping aunt amanda and uncle nate is not on her top 10 list. Saying goodbye is never easy, but it's the anticipation of seeing them again that we hold tightly to.

It never gets old photographing these guys...they hold a pretty special place in my heart :) We were so thankful to spend time with them while in TX for a wedding. We love you guys bunches....enjoy!

Nora and Jason, San Antonio TX

What a beautiful way to kick off the 2009 wedding season. Nora and Jason are such sweet, warm, gentle, loving people....and so perfect for each other. The day was truly an amazing celebration of their love for each other, and the union of two families becoming one. I love weddings with a lot of emotion...and I found myself tearing up several times during their day. Thank you guys so so much for inviting us to capture your day....we were so honored. We love you guys and wish you all the best.

A few more random bahama photos

I just wanted to send A HUGE thank you to Jen...the whole reason we were even in the Bahamas...and met the wonderful Lynda and Aaron! Jen has literally been the best walking billboard for TPP. We are so blessed to have such amazing clients and friends who continue spread the turtle pond love...without you ALL...we wouldn't be doing what we love. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We captured a few shots of the adorable Jen and Sean on the island....and some artsy scenic shots along the journey. Enjoy...

Next to our hotel was a quaint little cigar shop. Victor learned the craft of rolling cigars in Cuba and then moved over to the Bahamas. He was gracious enough to allow me to capture him working. It was so sweet when he gave me the cigar that he was rolling while I was shooting him. Nate said it was excellent!

dream big

Whether you're a photographer or not, I think you'll find this amazing short video most inspiring. Zack Arias is an incredible person and photographer, and i admire him for making this. It really resonated with my soul, with what i've been working through in life recently. Yes, even with my dislike for winter. But so much more than that. Beyond fstops and lenses....what am i doing in life to make a difference? What inspires and motivates me?

I have a tendency to dream big...but often fall short on follow through. This winter I've been dreaming of orphans. 143 million of them to be exact. I've been dreaming of traveling to far off lands to capture their stories, their faces, their love. To possibly bring a greater awareness on their behalf. I share this with you so that perhaps you can remind me of this dream and in some small way hold me accountable to truly pursue it. Perhaps you're even meant to join in the adventure. Right now it's just a seed in my heart, but with a little water and a little faith, i hope for it to become so much more.

Carter Steller

What an absolute cutie!!! I had such a blast capturing little Carter at the Children's museum. Thanks to facebook, Christi and Rob (old college friends) discovered Turtle Pond. They actually live in Louisville and drove up for the shoot. It was wonderful seeing them and catching up....I'm definitely looking forward to more fun shoots of this little guy :)

Lauren & Matthew

I photographed little Lauren when she was about a year old...well now, she's all grown up! Ok, not really ALL grown up, but she's changed soooo much, and she has a little brother! They both have these killer blue eyes...and beautiful smiles. We had a great winter shoot, even though they weren't completely sure about the SNOW! I don't blame them :) Thank you guys for another wonderful session....enjoy the photos!

Winter in Indiana

I love the seasons...and snow can be quite romantic and beautiful. To be honest, I'm simply over winter. My heart is craving sunshine, blooming flowers, and green grass. We've had some glimpses of hope the last fews days, and i've tried to soak up any brief rays of sunshine or warmer temps we get. Here are some snowy pics....hopefully soon to be replaced by some more springy ones :)

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Today is a very special day....my grandma turned 87....shhhhh, don't tell her I told you how old she is :) She is an amazing woman and i'm truly thankful to have her in my life. She's confident, independent, loving, joyful, sassy, hard-working, gentle......and well...i could go on and on. Even though my grandpa passed away several years ago, she continues to live on her own and constantly amazes me at what she's still able to accomplish. I love her dearly and appreciate the legacy she's left in the lives of the numerous people she's touched along her journey.

Aaron & Lynda in the Bahamas....part 1 of 2

I know, I know....sorry for the delay! Hopefully the suspense will only make the images better :) The truth is....editing photos of the Bahamas while looking at a foot of snow outside my office window has been somewhat of a cruel joke. However, I can't complain. We spent an amazing 6 days on a beautiful island....capturing one very FANTASTIC, BEAUTIFUL, and oh so FUN couple. As you saw in the title, these are only part 1 of 2 from the Bahamas....more to come very soon. It was quite challenging picking the faves for the blog....so much eye candy is hard to contain. For those of us enduring winter....or are just in plain denial....i hope this post is a refreshing change of scenery for you :) Aaron and Lynda....we can't thank you and your beautiful families enough for taking us along this journey with you....to translate such a special day in your lives. Thank you for not only trusting us to capture your love for each other, but for sharing your warmth and sincerely beautiful hearts.
