My Beautiful Niece and Nephew
I had the best two weeks hanging out with
my sister Amy, niece Lillie, and nephew Ayin. Unfortunately, they live far far
away in Houston TX so it's not very often we get to hang out. My sister had Ayin
in October, when we were abroad. So, this was the first time we met the handsome
lad. It can be hard to squeeze 6 months of hanging out into two weeks, but we
certainly did our best. Thankfully, they came during a slower time of the year
for us, work wise that is.
My niece Lillie has grown into quite the charming toddler. She says the cutest and smartest things every, and has quite a memory for her young age. One day we went to the Children's museum, and while we were walking out to the car we sang "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring." Two days later, it was still raining, and I started singing the song again, and she says "Children's Museum, Children's Museum." That was quite the association for a 2 year old =) I'm sure I'm slightly biased, but I definitely think she's the most adorable 2 year old ever! I also loved watching my sister be a mom, not to mention that she does it so amazingly. Her love, patience, gentleness, and kindness are an inspiration to me.
Another adorable Lillie moment, was right before bedtime. We were saying our prayers, and she prayed for everybody she has ever met, including anyone new from that day. I could definitely learn some things about prayer from my little faith-filled niece. I am so thankful that I got to hang out with them, and stilling glowing from it. Being an aunt is soooooooo much fun. Of course, we also took some photos while they were here.....
