Around the lake.
Lake Como is about 40 miles long so we really only
saw a small part.
This shot was in the hills above Varenna. The hike to get there was very difficult as it was straight up the mountain amongst the bluffs. The grassy area used to be a small pasture and it rested above a cave and the foundation of a tiny house,
This was from a hike we took to a castle overlooking the city. You can see the castle in the city shot in the previous blog entry. It is at the top of the hill just behind Varenna.
We took a ferry over to Bellgio for the day. Lots of Italian leathers and silks. This is looking back at Varenna.
