Nanny Nanna-rific

As you all know, our neighbors are moving...big sigh. Amy has been their AMAZING nanny since little Caroline was born. We have grown very fond of having her around as well, however I'm sure no one will miss her quite as much as sweet little Caroline! If i were a little kid and I could request a nanny, there's no one else I'd rather have than Amy. We'll miss seeing you around so much, at least your not moving quite so far!! Big hugs :)

sweet baby lucy

Tiny toes, sleepy eyes, velvet skin, silky hair, floppy arms, sweet as honeysuckle scent....ahhh babies. They are such precious little bundles of joy. It was wonderful to meet little lucy (aka lucia in italiano), and capture some precious moments with her, mommy and daddy. I love the glow of a new family and the joy the illuminates from within. After nine months of waiting their precious baby is here and well. Congratulations you guys....looking forward to more fun moments :)

Emilie is 6 months!

Little Emilie is growing as quick as a daffodil in the spring! It's been such a joy to capture her this year. The last time we were together she was all about her having her hands in her mouth and could barely hold herself up on her stomach. Now she's almost sitting up on her and loves her feet :) Thank you guys for another wonderful session...I'm looking forward to the next one!

Sophie

What a cutie pie! This is my friend Haley's adorable little girl Sophie. It's so fun watching my friends have babies and seeing them grow up. Of course it's also a blast to photograph them as well!

Jackson and family

Spring has sprung, and I'm so thrilled! After a long winter, I'm so happy to be out again, camera in hand, capturing the spontanaiety of children, the love a mother and father to a child, and the joy of exploring! Jackson is one sweet little boy filled with so much joy...what a great way to dive into spring :)

Emilie is 3 months old!

You'll probably remember this sweet little face from just a few months ago when she was born! It never ceases to amaze me how they grow up all too quickly. Emilie is such a wonderful baby to photography, so bubbly and full of sweet looks. For the majority of the shoot, she showed us how much she loves to have her hands in her mouth, and that's definitely par for the age :) I'm definitely looking forward to capturing many more bubbles, grins and cuteness with her!

Baby Eva

It doesn't get much better than this! I think I could photograph newborns all day long! It's so fun watching your friends become parents for the first time. I think there's something that changes within a person when this miracle takes place. There's a new glow, and new love, new sacrifice. I just read this quote, "To have a child is to have your heart walking outside of your body." Now, I don't have kids so I'm definitely not an expert of this, but I have observed many new parents and this "change" is something so very special that it can't even seem to be put into words. Cindy and Dan definitely have this special glow about them, as they should. Eva is just beautiful and such a precious gift to them! Congratulations you guys, we're so excited for you! Much love to you all in GA, we miss you already.

Announcing sweet baby Claire

Early this morning, after falling asleep on the sofa watching tv with Nate, I awoke at 2 a.m. to find a voicemail saying that Melody was dilated to a 6 and things were moving fast! I wiped the sleep from my eyes, and convinced my body to abandon it's coma like state. Resisting the urge to fall into my enticing bed, I gathered my camera equipment and headed to the hospital. I knew that this was an opportunity that couldn't be passed up.

Mel and I met almost a year ago at a photography workshop, but it feels like we've been friends forever. She's one of the sweetest, most sincere, loving, people I know! I am so very thankful to know her and blessed to call her friend. It was such an honor for me to capture one of the most special days in her life, the birth of their baby girl Claire! Words can't express how touching it is to watch this miracle take place! It's times like this that remind me of just how real God is and how awesome he is! During the delivery, the doctor looked at me and said, "You're a professional!" If I would've been quicker on my toes I would've responded, " Yes, but today I'm just a friend capturing another friend's miracle."

Congratulations Carp and Mel (and Gabe too!). We love you guys and are so very thankful for you!

Just a few for now..........

The Spiegel kids

Meet the Spiegal kids/gap models...seriously, I think they should seriously consider modeling! I had sooooo much fun with them and they were so wonderful to photograph. We did some photos at a park and then a few in downtown Noblesville. I was talking to my friend Abby the other day, and she asked if I had ever photographed kids downtown. I had thought about it before, but just never really done it. So, this was a new experiment for me, and wow am I ever excited!! I'm looking forward to sharing some new ideas with you all...stay tuned for more info on "kids in the city," or "urban kiddos" or "kid couture." Hmmmm, so many possibilities. If you interested in getting your kids photographed in the city....let me know!!!

Thank you guys for Spiegels for such a wonderful time...you guys are just beautiful!

Caroline...very sweet Caroline

All it takes is a smile and a giggle from little Caroline to turn a bad day into a very good day. It was one of those "not so great days" when Caroline came waddling over from next door sporting her furry, green dragon costume. She gave me her bright as a jack-o-lantern grin and fell into my arms laughing. Suddenly life was much better, and what really matters came back into perspective. I'm so blessed to know this little bundle of joy and her wonderful parents. She is a constant reminder that life is better lived with a smile. We love you guys!

Cecelia Johnson

I wonder what it would be like to see the world through a child's eyes again? To really be free to explore, free to run and fall, and free to express oneself...without fear or inhibition? As I watched little Ceceila run through the pumpkin patch, fall and get right back up, scrape her hand but not be dismayed....something hit me, I'm handicapped. Not in a physical sense, but by my fears, failures, expectations, and imperfections. We all fall and scrape our hands, we disappoint others, and make mistakes. Thank goodness for grace...and little kids to remind us that we can get back up again, shake the dirt of our hands and find another pumpkin to pick.

Thank you Cecelia for reminding me of this, you are absolutely adorable.

The Rivera kiddos

These guys are soooooooo cute it's ridiculous! Seriously, could they be any more adorable? I always love photographing them, it's such a treat. We had a great time at the pumpkin patch (my fave place this time of year)! Sophie was cracking me up with her tinker bell outfit, I just loved it!! I also love hanging out with their mom, Abby, so it was the perfect shoot all around. Looking at these photos reminds me of just how special being a kid is!

Sweet baby Emilie

It's been a little while since I've photographed a newborn, so I was thrilled to photograph little Emilie. She is absolutely precious and I was honored to capture her. She was so content and performed quite well for the camera :) I think she might already show signs of modeling in the future-haha :) Congratulations Mark and Laura, she's just perfect!

Lauren Duffy

This little one packs a whole lot of adorable personality, and I absolutely eat it up! Lauren is quite the adventure girl, so she had a great time exploring Tuttle's Apple Orchard . I just loved watching her venture out, play, and discover all the new things around her. One of my favorite moments from our shoot was when she picked up an apple, grabbed her wagon and rapidly starting walking. She was swinging her arm with vigor, and eating her apple, and marching all at the same time. It was absolutely hilarious! Well, as you can see, Lauren is quite adorable. Thank you guys for another wonderful shoot, and for being such loyal clients :)

Carlock boys

I love having the opportunity to photograph a family several times! Connor and Braden are two of the cutest kids I've ever met. They both have the most amazing blue eyes and very adorable personalities. Connor, 6, makes the best faces but can also pull of a serious face quite well. I think he knew how to work the camera from day 1 :) It's so fun to watch how they've both grown up, and now how they interact together. Braden definitely loves playing with his big brother! Thank you guys again for letting me capture you're adorable family! Enjoy the photos!
