Taylor Pierce Grasty, Orange Virginia

I have had such a wonderful time photographing Ann Lawrence and her sweet baby Pierce several times. So when I found out they were moving back home to Virginia I was very happy for them, but sad that such a great client and friend was moving far away. However, it was such an honor when she asked if I'd be willing to come to Virginia to photograph Pierce's christening! Thankfully, it happened to be the only weekend we didn't have a wedding. Nate and I were so honored to be there amongst family and friends and capture this very special day for them. Pierce will now be the 8th generation of Grasty's to live in Orange VA! The weather was just perfect, blue skies, sun and beautiful scenic mountains. Pierce was christened at the cutest little church out in the country where his great, great, great (I believe that's the correct number of greats) grandfather helped found the church. We then had a wonderful meal out at the farmhouse that Ann Lawrence and her dad own. It used to be in the family years ago but was sold to another family and now the Grasty's own it again. It's very neat how history and family is such an important part of their lives. Did I mention how cute the kids are there? They really made us feel like family with their wonderful southern hospitality. We finished the day picking crabs and eating them! I admit, I was a little disgusted at first, but they were so yummy!!! Here's some photos from beautiful Orange Virginia!

Ahh, the show.
